Default Link 4 ECU

Any feedback/reviews on this ECU?
I have a Alcatek ECU that was bough for my original build but does not fit the AVCS final build so will swap it out.
It has a few hours where it was mapped by JGM when the car was together when it was found the original engine was duff.
A few years later and a mechanic later I have a AVCS engine and am looking to re-wire the car to a Link 4 ECU as it seems to be more flexible.
I know the Alcatek can be fitted with a daughter card but would rather start with a ECU where I can get better support outside the UK (I´m based in Munich).
I was looking at the Link G4+ STORM ECU.
Once I decide on teh replacment ECU the Alcatek will be avalable if there is any interest.
its 4 grey plug type. There is also the original Subaru ECU that would go with it.

The G4+ plug and play version can be wired to run the AVCS, just use the Link expansion loom with it. No extra boards needed

cheers

Quite right Bob, the Link G4+ is very capable, however there's a little bit of re-wiring to do for AVCS control as the expansion loom digital inputs can't be used for trigger inputs.
Only digital inputs 1-4 can be used for triggering and these are allocated for other functions as standard.

Thanks for feedback.
The car build is custom so complete new wiring harness planned.
I want to simplify the vehicle harness with a standalone motor and ECU setup.
Main concern is that the Link is future proof as the car will have an anual winter update.

Default Sticking with Alcatek

Chaps
After discovering a fault, cracking around plugs, in the AVCS heads I am getting a new engine from Engine Tuners of Plymouth.
The new engine is a rebuilt V5 with stroker kit so will function with the Alcatek I have.
Obviously it will need a tune and getting that in Germany will be the next challenge but at lest I can put the 1.2k to offsetting the new engine cost (that what I tell the misses anyhow).
I hope to be back on the road for next summer as this is just job 1 for the car.

Thanks Bob and if I were in the UK life would be much easier but being based in Munich makes life a little difficult.
I have decided that the car will get a heart transplant, New engine from Engine Tuners, 2.1 stroker V5 all new internals. Latest find is that the garage who had my car during a turbo service managed to transform my TD04 into a very poorly TF035!
So now also looking for a turbo on the quiet as my wife is starting to ask questions!
Looks like some of the other toys will have to go to find the turbo but then it will be a complete package so better in the long run.
