Default Standard ecu and boost

What's the maximum boost ideally that the standard ecu can deal with?

I'm sure I've seen folk post saying 1 bar is the maximum for safety reasons but others say different and have run their cars at higher boost in the std ecu with no issues.

The car is a 2002 bug running a gt30 @ 1 bar just now. Fully forged etc.

with a Perrin map sensor mine runs 1.75bar with no problems at all (hatch with racerom) , best mate was well over 400bhp on his standard bugeye ecu with a gt30 , this was open source but bob rawle did say it would be better on ecutek , but he ended up swapping it out for a alkatek

What sort of power is the GT30 hybrid capable of?

It's a 2.5 with 2.0 heads machined to fit, rcm headers, decat etc fully forged, fmic.

I'm selling it in so don't really want to spend too much money, if I were keeping it I'd go that route.

Depends on the spec of said turbo but if its doing a genuine 400bhp @ 1 bar, you should see around 430-450 @ 1.5bar
