Default engine modding queries

Hi currently having my 2.1 forged closed deck ej20 built for my 97 p reg jdm wrx im looking for between 450 and 500 bhp just wondering what mods I would need to achieve this.

Gearbox?
Which injectors?
Turbo? I dont want a turbo that needs to be anywhere near max boost to reach those figures.
What ecu?
Do I need a front mount? Because id prefer to keep top mount.
Uprated fuel pump?

Obviously I know most basics but can anyone help me with specifics of exactly what items il need and anything iv missed cheers Gav.

2 bar, It does have inlet spacers, headers mean exhaust manifold, it has an equal length manifold, standard cams on v3/4 heads, you will need a front mount.

not entirely sure there is a top mount which will host that kind of power, probably best to do fmic but I may be wrong,
Turbo Md321T ( i made 440 bhp @ 1.4 bar on 2.1) one just sold with fresh rebuild for £700
6 speed with all other bits or 5 speed ppg but this will be on limits
044, or I have seen people run x 2 in tank 255L
740cc injectors, have just made 570bhp on my 720's again on a 2.1 so should cover your needs
any maffess ecu, simtek, esl, etc

Brad

I would be going with rotated gtx3071r using the rcm kit, tial 44mm wastegate, walbro 450 lph fuel pump, 740cc injectors and a alcatek ecu.

Job done

Ive got whats basically a gtx3076r on mine and from what i understand, the rcm oil feed kit comes with the correct size banjo so no restrictor necessary, as far as im aware anyway.

It would be best to phone them up and make sure.

My advice to you would be if you can afford it, buy the package to save a lot of agro

Ito be fair I dont really understand the Clark website its fairly generic just states bhp and what it will fit doesnt actually tell me what im buying and I can buy a gtx3076 shipped brand new for 1400 which is alot cheaper so im on the fence

Are you aware that a gtx3076r does not just bolt up to your car? Or are you looking at the rcm hybrids?

1400 sounds ok but you then need a rotated up pipe, downpipe, 3 bolt headers, 44mm external wastegate, oil feed, oil drain, water feed, water drain, 100mm turbo inlet and huge cone filter.

Rcm's 3800 seems steep but believe me its worth it as their parts just seem to fit mint, and thers nowt like a rotated setup.

I think you need to contact them and have a chat.

Also john @ braveheart racing developments will be able to help and give good advice

I see, there are lots of standard fit turbos like that. I believe there is one on here in the for sale section, aet gt30r i think, that is around the same as the other 30r derived turbos but at half the price again.

Ive no experience with these but the maths says they work and not heard any bad reviews, just make sure you get genuine garrett and not some china shyyt

Can look at a Blouch Dom 3.0 Is pretty well a GT30 that mounts in stock location with internal waste gate! run one on a mates car! rather impressive unit!
But any car making 500hp on a turbo is going to have some lag!
