Have had my engine and box out to to the head gaskets and while I was there I noticed the clutch was about gone , so I replaced it and now it won't go into gear when started

Any help ??

 

I have similar problem, but mine has been sat and only moved a few hundred yards around the block everyday. And now it just will not go into gear. Not shown any signs of clutch or gearbox going, so really confused why this would happen???

 

Are you sure the clutch fork was lined up properly when putting gearbox back on? You probably are and I've never done a clutch on the impreza (yet) but I've done a few on other vehicles and I remember doing one on a peugeot expert van and had the same problem, had to take it all apart again
