Hi I am a newbie with lots of questions as i have a 2005 wrx with a cloudy history of owners modding. i have to draw a line in the sand and identify what has been done to it so i can insure it. I am having to attack various questions in the different sections.....

My clutch is slipping on boost, at the moment my budget is just get the car back on the road so I'm looking at used clutches. Ordinarily I wouldn't dream of fitting a used clutch as its a bit of false economy but I'm stuck at the moment.

Would I be able to fit any 5 speed clutch assembly on my car? Even from a classic? I'm sure I read somewhere that possibly the 2005 5 speed may have a bigger input shaft...? With the apparent mods that I have found and what I have found on here I think I may be around 300 bhp (turbo, exhaust, headers, injectors, re-map, induction kit). I'm feeling like I would need a stage 1 clutch and that's why it's slipping on boost?
