CV joint alignment Newage STi
When installing outer CV joint onto front drive shaft splines how important is the rotational alignment between the CV joint behind the hub and the inner one, and if it does not line up will the drive shaft vibrate?

Blimey! eeeeerm; dunno ! I suggest loosening off the gaiters on one of the others and checking what seems to be standard. Never thought about that before as we rarely change ends We just fit a whole shaft.
I s'pose it makes good engineering sense to line them up, but whether that would be in a direct line or phased as in 90 degrees I couldn't say. Or even whether it matters at all.
I reckon they just get fitted anywhere, if it was critical for balance surely they'd have a master spline or some markings??
Not sure anyone on here can answer definitively.....
