Default HELP.. Clutch for my classic WRX as current 1 going I think..

Hi, my clutch has been slipping for the last few weeks as the bite from stationary does not feel right. Does this mean I need a new clutch?? or can it be repaired? If I do need a new clutch how many hours work is it for a garage and is it an easy job for most mechanics?

easy job when you know how. i did my on my own the other week, only had someone to help lift the box. but is easier than most gearbox out jobs.

i would say a garage would have you up the back pipe.

£depends on what clutch you want and how you drive.

Be careful, there are a lot of copy Exedy's around on tinternet and Exedy are now sending out bulletins about how to identify them. So that no one gets a nasty surprise when they send it back under guarantee with a judder, only to find out it is a Chinese copy.

I have a proper standard genuine Exedy with a proper warranty for you at £180.00 +VAT. Many people on here use them and I can genuinely say, we have never changed one under warranty YET. Not even had a claim either.

Call if I can help, we fit too if that helps.

There was a thread a while ago when I was looking for a replacement & a guy had been running 300/300 for a couple of years on the standard exedy 225mm but guess it all depends how you drive & if you've got the pockets for the exedy 230mm

Hi I'm also looking to replace my clutch. Running 337bhp. Can anyone advise on pro's & cons of fitting an uprated clutch. Does it feel heavier on the foot?

Not looking at increasing the power but do like to put my foot down a bit when diving and looking at the ocasional track day. Thanks
