Whiteline items - aloy arm front links bush bore
Hello all,
I have received Whiteline items to my family house in France. they will bring them in february to me in Mauritius.
Could you doublecheck that they are the correct items for my type R v5 ? (gc8f2dd)

I have been told the front links bush I received are 8mm while the one I would need for alloy arm should be 10mm. aparently most people do so as they don't like the 10mm ones that are made of metal so rattle while the one I received have urethane. so most people just bore 8mm ones
could some of you comment this ? any of you have bored those bush ?

I know there are differences in bolt diameters for the Alloy/steel lower arms.
I'm surprised you are not using the Type R original front links that fit without any mods, but the Whiteline ones do look better.
You might have to drill (bore) one end of the front links to fit the right size bolt. Obviously you must fit a 10 into a 10mm hole!
Contact 'Cusco Kid' on the suspension section, he is the UK Whiteline dealer and knows everything about the products/application
The other parts and the rear links will drop into place.
Good luck.

If you have alloy lower arms you'll find that the holes are all 10mm. The front links you have are for steel lower arms.
The kit you need is the whiteline KLC39.
As well as needing 8mm bolts to go through the links, which are too small for the holes in the alloy arm, you'll find that they won't line up properly.
I had the hardrace equivalents and after one short journey they tried to pull the bushes out of the links due to the pressures on the link when they weren't properly aligned.

yeah, but have you read my statement ?
I've been told to bore them out to 10mm as finaly they are better than the one designed to fit (as they are not made of same material)

Jon I feel is correct.
I have used my stock Sti V3 front links to great effect racing my car, and now have the 'pillow ball' links on which are freer working:
When the car is on the ground, you cannot believe the angle those links work (well) at!
Note though:
The stock Sti links are maintenance free, I feel you need to lubricate the Whiteline ones regularly to keep them tip-top. I use a simple drop of engine oil about 3 times during the hillclimb season. The car does not get used from Oct to March.

Both of these places list them on ebay from time-to-time, both US based. Maybe just mail them and see if they can sell them direct, I'll be doing that once I have the money together
