Just a quick one when sat idling if i put the clutch down engine idles nice smooth etc...but if i sit idling in neutral with clutch up the engine still idles nice and smooth but in the background is a very faint noise which is a rubbing,whirring sort of noise its really hard to explain as soon as i put clutch down again its gone. Any ideas guys?

 

Sounds very much like the clutch thrust bearing, nothing to worry about unless it gets worse...
