Hello i need to know if a 1996 wrx engine will fit in to a 1998 wrx car? would i need to change bits round?

would a legacy turbo 1995 engine fit in my 1998 wrx?

Please help as my car is sat in a garage looking dead!!!

will a 2001 wrx model bug eye engine fit in to a 1998 wrx model?? i know i will have to change the manifold round( will my old 1998 manifold go on to a 2001 wrx engine) and i know the top intercooler will have to be changed too...does anyone else know what else i will have to change round? has anyone done a project like this before? thanks

 

shortblock only will fitt as far as i know.
