Default lamda plug for decat

Is there a blanking plug you can get for plugging the lambda sensor hole in the top of a decat downpipe? I fitted a decat to a my96 sti2 today thinking the lambda would plug in the hole at the top of the pipe but my sensor is in the up pipe and i'm left with a hole in the downpipe that i need to plug somehow. Also the sensor at the bottom of the oe downpipe, is this the cat on fire sensor and i just leave it off?

Any help would be great, Johnny

The sensor at the bottom is the o2 sensor.

iirc you can get lambda plugs in scoobyshop. If not i think scoobysport do them.

Stick a sparkplug from any Ford Pinto engine in - threadsize M18 x 1.5

the sensor at the bottom of the OE downpipe is indeed the cat on fire sensor, and yes just leave it disconnected.

Also, your lambda sensor is in the headers, not the uppipe

it would be worth while moving your lambda from the headers to the down pipe as a safety precaution.
the ends of the lambda sensors have been known to come off and wreck the turbo!

Do you have an aftermarket downpipe? It would have been moved to there most probably since pretty much all have a hole for one.

As Jonny Gav suggests, anyone who buys a downpipe with a hole for lambda sensor, its best to move the sensor there and blank the headers - the sensor just about reaches, but be careful how you route it past the turbo.
