Question Fitting 550cc injectors

Hi,

I have just got hold of some 550cc injectors, can I fit them now myself and use my car as normal until I can get it in for a remap?

Current setup:

APS Cold air induction.
APS SR30 Turbo
Hybrid FMIC
Full Magnex Exhaust
Walbro Updated Fuel pump
Unichip

Currently running at 306BHP MY97 UK turbo.

Thanks

The ECU/chip will over fuel with the 550's fitted. Fit them at the re-map.
I would suggest fitting a fuel reg aswell

Thx for the reply Dyney,

I was told by Tuning Japanese that I would not need a fuel reg as my standard one would be fine.

Any views on this?

Debateable, the problem that can arise with the 99/00 (think 97 is the same) reg with an uprated fuel pump, is that the return orifice is only 2mm diameter and this is insufficient during low fuel demand to return enough to the tank and drop the pressure to that which is intended. Practically with a working lambda sensor it will usually correct OK and I had no running problems as such, but some vary.

Thx for the reply John,

I think I will let the map go ahead with the stock fuel reg and see if there are any problems.
