It is off a Legacy, but smaller than a VF12 fitted to the UK Legacy turbo. I think this was the smaller one fitted to the US 2.2 Legacy turbo which ran low boost but (relatively) a lot of low down torque. They will be quite old by now.

Thanks John. I was told it was a very good turbo and it was org fitted to a rally car but cant seem to see what benefit that would give it over a td05

It will not outperform a TD05.

I dont think it will come close to a tdo4 let alone tdo5.

I have a few of these at the moment, they where fitted to a legacy twin turbo,so only half the power realy.

I have a VF8 on my Legacy. Good turbo though

15 years old and still no play. Marvellous!

Sorry,mistake,the turbos I have are vf13 and vf14.
Still they are very small and wont give a very high output if used singly IMO.

Must be pretty reliable though,as no one seems to want them.
