Default Gearbox Oil Level HELP!!!!!

Hi guys I have just Topped up my Gearbox Oil level on my MY95 WRX and it Appears now its over the Max by about Half a litre. Will it be ok to leave it like that and drive it or do I need to drain some off?

it should be ok but bear in mind it expands when it gets hot. I have always run them just over half on the dip and have had no problems, but apparently this can leave 5th(?) exposed during hard running. john felstead is the man for this one- if you can find him!

I run mine just over max, my understanding is that this is advised as othwerwise under hard acceleration 3rd can become exposed.

If you have overfilled it, the oil will come out of the dipstick pipe. No real hardship.
