Default QUESTION REGARING CLUTCH

hi all
wonder if anyone can help car has done 75,000 miles and when i go on a run
either short or long im sure it smells of my clutch could it be in need of a new
one if so how do i find out?? dont have any problems getting in gears.
car is a u.k spec my98 turbo wagon

if anyone could help would be most grateful

Simple test:

Put the car in a high gear (higher gear than you would normally need) as your driving and step on the accelerator. If the engine revs quicker than it accelerates (ie is 'slipping')then its on the way out.
