Default Exhaust Exhaust Exhaust What to do....

Hello All

I currently have a MY93 with FMIC, VF34 turbo, HKS Air intake, FCD, Z4 ECU etc

I was looking at my exhaust system as I feel its a bit quiet and I could get better turbo spool up.

I was told its a HKS full 3" decatt system when I purchased it.

The downpipe is decatted and 3"

But when I looked at centre/rear pipes it seems it is a one piece centre and rear section, the centre pipe has 3 silencers in it and the 'rear section' has obvioulsy the back box and a little silencer before it..

Now I know that HKS dont do a one peice centre and rear section, it has a 4 inch round pipe at back slanting from top to bottom.

Does this sound like a not so good after market exhaust system being a one piece unit?

I am thinking towards a straight through centre pipe with back box.

What would you all reccomend, I don't want to wake up people 2 miles away from me, but want a deep throbbing sound, mainly I want good spool up and better flow.

Would I be right in saying a one piece centre and rear section with 4 little silencers(12-14" long) and a back box would be quite restrictive.. it is definately louder than a standard exhaust.

Will all after market, HKS, Blitz ,Magnex exhausts (centre and rear) fit to my front downpipe?

I may have rambled on a bit... but i would appreciate your comments

Cheers

Rob White
