After giving the poor old scooby a good thrashing through some winding sections of A roads a wining noise came from the engine bay, the steering felt like it had a bit of a wobble but only seemed to happened in second gear or maybe it was just more obvious, when i investigated there was power steering fluid all over the front of the engine and seed to have come out of the top of the power steering res.

Sounds like you`ve boiled your ps fluid, i think you need to change the fluid once its seen such high temps.

What type of Fluid do I need, I know I need 0.7 litres but I want to buy the right stuff.

I've noticed fluid around the top surface of my Reservoir and it seems to be coming from the cap. I had quite a thrash from Edinburgh on some wicked A roads and since my steering hasn't felt the same.

Gonna drain and replace the Fluid tonight maybe if I get the chance.

I've got some extreme climate PS fluid on test. Will report back.

Cheers Pete, it seems ok now though but would like to put some uprated fluid in if you can give us the details when the testings done.
