Hi all

Im considering taking the centre cat out from my 01 UK300. Can anyone let me know if its worth doing, what power increase is gained, does it need setting up etc etc. Im also told it will still pass MOT with the downpipe left in??

Hello mate

I replaced mine about 2 weeks ago and its great.
I have an afterburner BB and afterburner decat and centre section.
The noise is nice if you like loud and it does not need remapping. There is a bit more power but nothing like a full decat, which is coming soon!!
As for mot's well thats something I will worry about later....except I won't worry!!

replacing the centre cat will not give you much of a power increase on its own,but the car will rev more freely especially top end.

Yea mine is the Uk300 with PPP plus i have a Forge VTA. I wouldnt mind a full decat but for the moment i will prolly just get the centre one as i cant afford to replace the prodrive rear box yet. Just happy that i know it aint gonna cause any probs.

 

PPP comes with a centre cat replacement pipe,leaving only up and downpipe cats.
