Does anyone know if there are any differences between the engines on the STI 7 and 8 or are they the same.

Arron,

to my knowledge, not enough to be of material interest. We've seen a few STi 7's but only one 8 so far. There is a difference in the way the oil flows through the crank to get to the mains it is cross drilled to use the correct term but it's possible that later 7's were the same.

Why the question??

David, I think he will have got it the first time you answered LOL

STi 7 & 8 are the same unless its a JDM Sti 8 which has the Sti 9 engine in with different internals!

Guy's, guy's I tried to edit earlier to explain about three posts. However, for whatever reason the thing wouldn't let me and as far as I am aware you can't repost within 45 seconds anyway. There was some sort of power spike here and it just went beserk..........

So I plead ignorance regarding electronics and http's and B/S like that. I'm just a simple engineer trying to make my way in the world.

LOL to you too

David
