Hi just need abit of advice/cajoling/telling/persuading any of them
Before you say “SEARCH” I have and read up for a few months off and on
I have a 92 Legacy Turbo (UK model) which ive had a few years now and I am gradually playing with when bits break or I get bored of the performance, at the minute the modifications are as below
Open neck downpipe with full system to match no cats
‘2.5inch dia’
(actually got a Group A rear box (off Autosportif) which ive just took off (offers?)
Green Cone Filter with ali Airbox and cold feed
Bosch Coils
Im probably looking for about 270/280bhp or is this unrealistic with std injectors
(Fuel pump and reg would be uprated with a new ecu)
I also heard std legacy turbo has a weak actuator
So whats the best way to go Scoobyecu / Link / Gems /any other autotronic/ microtech/ DTA
Link would be my first choice (gems maybe overkill? Worth as much as car
)
But if you want to keep the engine working id rather have one of these than a bleed valve...........
Any help/advice would be appreciated
Will

I suspect your best bet would be to speak to one of the ScoobyECU guys.. www.scoobyECU.co.uk to check whether it can be fitted with one.. I suspect it can although an ECU switch might be required.
Fuel pump and fuel Reg assuming they are the same as the Impreza are available from Mark @ www.lateralperformance.co.uk
just bought them myself and is Friday afternoons job to fit them.
Although for required power you would probably be okay with standard, as long as they are in A1 condition.
Failing that you are getting onto uprated intercooler, assume that must be running a charge cooler atm?? Link and 550 injectors.. then big turbo.. but then the mods are worth more than the car..

I fitted a ScoobyECU (Pavlo's map in it) in a friends WRX wagon last night.
I can't think of a better use of the money - it cost so little for the performance you get. I estimated approx £1.50 per bhp
And it's "safe" extra power, as the fuelling & timing is adjusted along with the boost.
