Picked up my MY97 Impreza last Thursday, and have so far noticed a few odd things.

When I apply even a small amount of right steering lock at around 15mph, there's a quiet jingling rattly noise coming from somewhere. It disappears as soon as I straighten the steering again. I can only hear it with the windows down though.

On roundabouts, in multi-storey car parks, etc., basically anywhere with tight right hand turns, there is a loud squeal (just like squeaky brakes) from the rear once the car is into the turn. Could it be the rear diff 'slipping'? (I assume the LSD is on the rear).

Just thought I'd pick your brains before I re-visit the Subaru dealer.

Cheers,

Andy.
