I am after a 98 to 00 scoob and was wondering which ones were had the piston slap problems and would they all have been sorted under warranty etc.

MY98 suffered from piston slap, most were fixed under warranty.

mine has piston slap and its nothing to be worried about.

Mines a 98my and has piston slap too.... But it goes away when its warm and its done it for the last 30000+ miles....

I think mine has psiton slap. I'm having it checked out Friday, but was wondering would it still be fixed under warranty even if ive got a straight thru TSL exhaust system?

A majority of the piston slap problems would be sorted under the warranty. "Some" dealers will show concern [to say the least] about any modifications, but it all depends on how nice the dealer is when you approach them with this problem. A majority should not have a problem with exhausts, but on the other hand, you never know..............

No problem, but if any doubts from the dealer, contact Customer relations manager at Subaru UK and he will get things sorted for you on your behalf, but use only as last resort, dont want to upset the local dealer or he might throw all toys out of pram when he see's the exhaust.!!
