A short time back I started a thread about iduction kits (can't find URL). After much discussion I decided that unless I just wanted the sound then it wasn't worth bothering. I'll soon be running full decat but don't intend any further perormance mods. The concensus was that unless you are after BIG power then the standard airbox etc was not going to be restricitve.
So why is it that so many people go part or full decat with replacement panel filters or induction kits and no intention of further mods? There are also replies to posts about tuning/induction where it is being recommended by some of you who effectively talked me out of it?
Cheers
Matt
Edited because I just found my previous post.

Autospeed is good on this, they have many articles in which they use flowmeters and pressure sensors to work out just where the induction gremlins are. This varies enormously car by car ... on some cars it's worth it, on others it isn't.
