The Legacy EJ25 - were they DOHC until 1999 then SOHC?

What size are the big end eyes on each?

To my knowledge john, it mirrors the impreza rs in the states, ie. SOHC.

also big end journals went up to 52mm from 48mm at phase 2 also.

In hind sight, I think I prefer the 48mm journal as it means more meat in the rod. The crank at 48mm is hardly looking weak!

Weren't they Quadcams until Dec 98 (like the original Legacy Turbo was) and reverted to twin cam / DOHC as on the current 2.0 and 2.5 models ?

Or am I wrong ?
