Hi all,

I own a '92 wrx which i have had now for about 3 months...now i dont know whats been done to it but its quick.... my mates got a MR2 turbo running nos, water injection etc etc and its quicker than that... besides looking better with a tommi kaira bodykit fitted.. scooby has got large exhaust from turbo back with only straight thru silencer at rear, k&n filter, bee*R dump valve and my local dealer plugged her in and says is running on a '94 ECU.

There are a couple of small problems which i wonder if you have ever come across... the first being when i drive normally ( not very often, i must admit, these cars are such a hoot to drive!!) everything is fine, as soon as i start to drive 'swiftly' if i come to a junction , roundabout etc.. where i come to a stop, the engine will not idle, and cuts out. Now, this is not good for Mr turbo and i restart quickly when the idle seems to surge a bit to start with then evens out and is ok, but will do it again when i get to next stop. If i then drive slower, it will return to idle perfectly. weird! MAF??

The second is sometimes, only sometimes, with wide open throttle and pulling like only scooby drivers know, it cuts out for about 1 second then ignition resumes for about 3-4 seconds then cuts and so on until the throttle is closed a bit. This seems to happen mainly above 4000 rpm. I dont like this as I feel sorry for the engine mounts at the moment! Boost solenoid?? Now i know what it feels like being a nodding dog!!

Many thanks people....
Simon
