3rd gear notchy

got my 97 uk turbo about a month ago and was told it had a quick shift gear lever fitted but i am finding now that when i put it in 3rd gear going up or down it feels notchy like there is no syncro anybody know what this could be

Join the club, I've got problems getting it into third whenever I'm above 5000 rpm. Dunno why this is happening but someone on scoobchat told me "they all do that"..

It still doesn't make me feel better though. I will either sell my car or get a quaife gearbox to go into it..

Try a good gearbox oil - it usualy improoves it no end - like castrol syntrax or some of the redline stuff that peeps have mentioned..
