Cluth fluid 'overflowing'
Right, seems like a weird problem to me. I've got a MY00 wagon that's had it's 30K/2 year service 3 weeks ago (at 25.5K miles), got it back and everything seemed normal, opened the bonnet up sunday after a nice visit to PE to look at how hard it would be to fit an induction kit myself and HHxx noticed the clutch fluid is up above the maximum
Now I didn't notice this when I had the bonnet up a couple of weeks ago and I very much doubt it would have left the dealer like it, so just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before?
I had complained to the dealer previously about the travel at the top of the clutch pedal starting to feel loose and make a click upon release when the car warmed up. It didn't do it when I got the car and it's gradually started. I got the "they all do that sir", "there's nothing I can see wrong". (Do all dealers have a crap attitude to problem finding? A rant for another time
)
Now I also seem to get a clutch squeak just as I let the clutch up and it bits pulling away in first gear, it feels like is slips slightly, though I'm not certain of that.
I've left it at the dealers this morning and hoping they can find the problem, I'd not taken the top off the fluid resevoir in case it was under pressure and then spilled out, but there's basically a tiny bubble of air left in the top where there should be at least an inch to the max line
Not being an expert on imprezas at all I was just hoping for some possibles before I get another "they all do that sir" effort. Hopefully they'll fix the stuttering the car seems to have gained since the service as well
Thanks
Andrew

Pffft! Anyone know a good dealer somewhere round Bury St. Edmunds or Colchester area?
Just heard back from my dealer(Osbornes Subaru in Colchester), can't find the hesitation, which is admittedley intermittent, and they don't have any idea about the clutch so they've just taken some fluid out.
They think my squeak might be a spigot (sp?) bearing, but said that's a gearbox out job and seemed to have little interest in looking into that.
To me it just seems their not interested in putting any effort into finding the problem. Maybe I'm mental, but if I spend 20K on a car from a reputable dealer, have it serviced at the correct intervals and don't abuse it, is it too much to expect it to work? and when it doesn't to have a dealer who actually seems to give a **** and can fix the problem?
Pfft!
