Gear selector nylon bush? Short shifters help needed.
So I have a 2006 wrx Hawkeye non sti.
my gear selector has always seemed a little notchey and has a bit of play. I got round to investigating it today.
The nylon bush that sits in the cup at the bottom of the gear stick has play in. Basically the gear stick is pivoting around in the bush before actually moving the bush. Best way I could explain it sorry
now I can find uprated bushes for the fork mounting to gear stick but i ideally want a full metal gear stick so there is no nylon bush and is just one metal part like a short shifter has.
Any recommendations? I can’t seem to find one for a wrx 5 speed only the gfb one but I’m not looking for anything that fancy.
Cheers in advance for any help

A random image I found to help explain don’t no what it’s of. The selector moves around in that white bush/ball. Can you buy these separately and replace? I can’t find them if you can. I would prefer to do that as not a fan of short shifters really.

The only way to get an all metal shift lever is to go the short shifter route.
Why not replace the nylon ball and socket??
Other possible part requirements

By any chance are they the correct parts and part numbers you posted up.

Something less to wear I suppose. Think I will just get the ball and socket as long as Subaru don’t charge as much as a short shifter for them lol, the website from that link you sent me doesn't seem to work how much are they?

Part numbers shown are correct for 5MT Newage Impreza and many other 5MT linkages
Current UK prices/availability you would need to check with a Subaru Dealer but should be (for both items) in the region of £14.00 inc VAT (best guess).
Have added a couple of extra items that may be required
