Double checking a gearbox code - Bugeye
Evening
I am looking for a second gearbox for my Bugeye as a replacement for if it goes pop, the code is 77-TY754VN2AA ( see pic, below)
Am i right in thinking this is a US spec box with a 3.9 final ration compared to the UK spec box that has the same ratios but a different F.R of 3.54?
I'm new to this so any information is welcome
Thanks

As it's used in both MY01 and 02 UK cars it's not american spec (destination code EK is Europe RHD)
From the MY01 EU workshop manual
There are numerous threads on here relating to it.

Hi Don
Thanks for replying, i did have a search on the forum but i must of been using the wrong key words. I stand more of a chance finding a 2AA in the UK then.

Been doing some reading on the gearboxes and i've seen a few people reference this website - http://www.gearhack.com/myink/ViewPa...ission%20Chart
It states the VN1AA and VN2AA have different Final Ratios but people are saying they are interchangeable like for like, if someone could shine some light on this i'd appreciate it.

Gearhack being USA based ? seems sadly lacking in UK/European and rest of the world info.
VN1AA box used in MY99 and MY00 UK turbo 2000 (Euro GT ; Aus WRX) cars
Front diff ratio as usual for 2.0L turbo (EJ205) setup 3.900
