My work colleague said his dad has a 5 speed sti classic. I never new they did one I thought they was all 6 speeds? Any how if this is the case would the 5 speed sti clutch fit my 5 speed 97 uk2000 with the stock flywheel?

I'm only asking because I thought some clutches were 230mm and some was 240mm. If this is the case I wouldn't need a blue exedy clutch and the sti should cope with 300-320 bhp

As eluded to, the six speed was introduced with the New Age Bugeye STi, onwards.

I believe the 5sp clutch disc dia. is 225mm and the 6sp's @ 230.

Not sure whether they're interchangeable, though...

Get a 225mm Competition Clutch - Stage 2.

I have one in my 384/349 STi 5 since around 2013...and it hasn't missed a beat.

who is your clutch made by.i did have a 6 puk on my forester some years ago carnt remember where I got it from. My car with never see over 300bhp but I don't want a clutch that will be on its limits and start slipping if you get what I mean

The company's name is Competiton Clutch.

As regards the disc's compound...not sure who makes it, etc.

Early classics 225mm later classics think v5/6 230mm the later 230mm fits all but check the flywheel it might need skimmed if upgrading. The newage 240mm I think.
