Default Replacing 5 speed gear linkage

Hi guys

I bought the replacement gear linkage unit as my current one is sloppy on an sti v3 5 seems speed.

Is this a job for an amautuer mechanic?

I can change turbos, spark plugs, oil and the likes but we wondering if I should be able to tackle this?

is there any step by step guides available?

I personally got a mechanic to do it as I couldn't be bothered with the pins.

This is a good DIY guide to give you an idea.

Think about doing gearbox mount and bushes in the area at the same time if you're keen. You've got access to them all while you're there.
