Default Blobeye front driveshaft removal

Hi there,
I need to change the front driveshaft on my 2003 sti, just wondered if the bottom ball joint needs to be undone in order to do this? I tried to find a guide or old thread on here but no luck! Also do the shafts have pins at the gearbox end?
Cheers

it'll have a roll pin gearbox end and a nut to undo hub end which is better slackened at least first off. Slide shaft out from gearbox end first though.
