but what do they actually do to the car apart from change the ECU and exhaust pipe.????

 

It depends on the model year of the car. For 99 and 2000 cars, they also change some pipework around the intercooler for a stronger and less restrictive hose. Earlier cars also get upgraded brake pads and a different air filter.
