Apr 11, 2013 10:47 PMMany thanks for your time in replying, some positive and negative info which I appreciate and ill get it fully looked at before the heads are built up, what were the issues with your friends build if you can recall so I can let my engine builder know.
Many thanks

Apr 10, 2013 10:09 PMHi Kris,
you're lucky I saw this message as it can be 6 months between visits on here. Yes, I still have my axis motor and it's been excellent. I run it with standard v5 heads but a decent sized rotated turbo so probably somewhere between 5 and 600 hp. It's not given me any trouble and my mapper commented it was the quietest built engine he'd ever come across. What I paid wouldn't really help you very much as I supplied the ej22t to Ron so only paid for parts and labour.
Now I should balance this out with the motor he built for a friend of mine. It was one of his last and was shipped a few months before he did a runner. Basically it's scrap. The machine work was criminal and basically it was slapped together and thrown out of the door. He's been left with a very expensive centre piece in his garage.
If you have the skills to check the build yourself it might be tempting however if you don't, and you're thinking of taking a punt......don't!
All the best

Mar 2, 2013 07:49 AMHi mate, wondered if you could assist, whilst searching the forum I notice you ran one of Axis 2.33 stage 4 motors and wondered if you could assist in providing me with some info on the engines potential and the final top end build spec you took. I have a mate that bought two of Rons 2.33 engines before he closed his business, which are brand new bottom ends in the boxes which have been stored so wanted to know a bit more about them. Also can you tell me what you finally paid for your stage 4 bottom end so I can guide what sort of offer I need to make, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Kris.
