Default Android ICS upgrade issues

Upgraded my HTC Sensation OS to latest ICS and now on exiting every app (eg messages, mail, gallery) I get the start up screen (white HTC), then a small box saying loading before the home screen comes back.

So that's every time I'm exiting anything...

What can be done? Do I need to go back to my service provider (Orange)?

Was this an official upgrade or did you download it?

Phoned Orange - they don't support it as they haven't approaved ICS yet

Tried a hard reset, it said another update was available which I downloaded, and it sorted the problem

Try going into settings, apps, all, find HTC Sense and clear data.

How can they not approve it if it was an official update?
