Question Windows 7 User Accounts

Say you've created a new User Account to fix a corruption issue with the original account.

Once everything is setup ok on the new account can you then delete the original account, leaving everything functioning ok on the new account only?

So to sum up I have 2 user accounts the 2nd one works fine, I want to delete the original account but only if the 2nd new account will work afterwards by itself.

Edited to say both accounts have admin.

Yes.

If Pro, Ult or Ent versions, there should be the local admin account also, disabled by default. Not sure if home versions have it, never used them.
