What happens when you try and play the albums? Did you also upgrade iTunes to v10.5? Try rebooting the iPhone (hold down button on top until you see the swipe bar to turn the phone off, then power it back on with the same button)

Check the sync options in iTunes as well.

this is 1 reason 1 im beginning to hate apple, itunes is a pain in the *** 90% of the time

if i was you i would clear all your music from itunes, sync the phone so it removes it all from your phone, and then try again, failing that, uninstall and re-install itunes see if that helps

I have also heard that there are issues with the iOS 5 update. When I upgraded 2 days ago, all the apps were totally wrong placed etc. thank god, I took some pictures of the layout before I did the 2 hours update. Sorry I cannot comment on your issues with the music, but I hope you will sort it out soon.

Unless you snyc everything, the music is removed when doing a restore and you have to drag it back again.

If everything has gone horribly wrong and you backed up (which everyone should have done), just hit shift and click on restore and try again. This will re-load iOS 5 and reload the back-up you choose.
