Default Setting up an iPhone 4

No, i've not changed my Desire. A friend who is pretty phone/pc/gadget illiterate has decided to buy an iPhone 4 and wants me to set it up for him.

I've done nothing more than have a quick play with one previously. He'd like to receive emails (personal and work) and have a sat-nav setup too.

Is this easy enough to do? Is there any links to show & tell you the things you should set up to get the most out of the phone??

If you have access to his PC and that already has the email accounts set up then just sync via iTunes, if not it's very easy to add email accounts manually, you won't need instructions.

There's a lot of choice for Sat Nav, get the phone up and running and browse via the App store either on the phone or in iTunes.

He doesn't have a PC/laptop, so i very much doubt he has iTunes either. What are the best sat navs?

There are free ones or there are some really good ones that cost quite a bit. I can't see him really utilising it unless he's paired it to iTunes.

You wont even be able to switch the phone on. Unless pre-activated in the store, you need to plug the phone into a computer and then sync with iTunes.

This will change with iOS 5 I believe.
