Windows 7 - Validation - Can I...
Hi all,
Ages ago I bought an Acer Revo to go alongside my main PC, I had a legit copy of Windows 7 Home Premium already installed on the main PC but I optimistically installed the 32bit version onto the Revo (64bit installed on the main PC).
Sadly (although obviously) when I tried to validate the Revo it said I might have been a victim of software 'theft'.
I've since been and got another copy of Win7, now can I just change the software key on the Revo and revalidate or do I have to reinstall? What I don't want to do is use the new key then it not work cause it thinks the existing install of W7 is nicked.

Version 2.1 still works.
I bought my PC last year with Vista installed, a couple of months before Win 7came out.
So I didn't really feel that guilty about fleecing Mr Gates.
Trouble is, with any of these type of things is that it's a bit of a game of cat and mouse, enough to put the average punter off but not really a problem for someone with a little bit of knowhow.
