Tried out some facetracking software
Quite impressed with this to be honest!
Tried this software with my Xbox 360 Vision Camera
http://sourceforge.net/dbimage.php?id=264632
Seamed to track my face really well, which was kinda spooky
Anyway the reason i tried this was
1. i was bored (and i have had a few beers)
2. the missus is away out so i did not feel as geeky
3. it has support for ARMA2
Ok, had a little play, initially i found i had a problem with leaning, for some reason they are reversed, and clicking the option to reverse them, has no effect, i am sure i could config ARMA differently to fix this.
I cant seam to fly choppers like this as i keep crashing into the ground
To be honest i never use "freelook" (ie hold down a key and free look around while running in a direction) in this game, i suspect the people who do use it, would not need so much time to adjust to the different play styles.
If i watch the No-Ir screen it tracks my face really well, but the translation into the game is not so smooth, although this has not been out for a while so is still being developed, you can buy TrackIR as a package, but you have to wear IR LED`s on your head/face for it to track you a simple webcam is a LOT less geeky/ridicules.
Never recorded my gameplay footage before, so was unsure how to do it (i believe Xfire has the option but i need to fiddle with a config file to allow it in ARMA2)
So i installed FRAPS, but it will not let me record for longer than 30 secs, and it affected the smoothness of the games FPS
All the same, i thought it worked quite well, here you go
