Read a gaming blog this morning on my phone while taking a dump
And they were saying the PSN setup had been hacked?

Well I read on that link I posted that its something to do with with a clock setting screwing up - mention of a first even non leap year? Weird as what was 2006 lol. Anyway my PS3 clock was showing 1/1 00:07 when I was on earlier.

Apparently it only affects fat PS3 and not the new slims as well. Theyd best sort that out before tonight or Im gonna be miffed.

Weird that as I had a few games of cod last night was going to come off at 11.30 then I thought I will have a dabble at special opps when I tried to play it I got some weird error saying trophys corrupted and quit to main PS menu I then got a message a error has occured and youve been signed out of PSN - so in the end I couldnt get back online so went to bed even single player wouldnt work due to the trophy error

It better be sorted for tonight

I was trying to join GM`s games all night but there was never any room

Ok so contrary to my previous post I didnt realise the PS3 was only released in Europe in March 2007! Seems like its been out for ages not just 3 years.

Your always going to get problems with online play by the nature of the beast. But to have it so people cant even play offline game is pretty bad lol.

From what i have just read, even consoles not connected to the net have failed to boot up, so it is looking more and more like a Y2k bug.

Its not booting up thats an issue its getting online to PSN. Even the offline games have to synch with PSN for current trophy status and thats whats causing people to not be able to play offline games at the mo.

The tweets i read said something about 100% offline consoles not working either and having the dates reset, could be bollocks? but there seams to be a hell of a lot of traffic about it now, might be 2 separate problems?

So can any of you slackers not working confirm that or just one lucky ******? Also seems that some fat PS3 have been working all the time. Possibly the more recent ones as different cpu.

Very annoying. Had a day of COD and Heavy Rain planned.

You can still browse the net so guess any fix will have to be delivered that way

Sold my old PS3 Fat and bought a Slim a couple of months back - all's well here

Does indeed look like a hardware related timeclock issue. Possible that it can't be firmware fixed Unlikely though
