Default 360 networking options.

i have my 360 wired to my n router currently but i still get disconnected sometimes,
i'm now thinking of taking the 360 to my bedroom, i can't decide between a powerline adapter or the new black wireless n adapter.
can anyone give me some thoughts on them

Swings and roundabouts...

Why do you think moving the router will stop disconnections?

If your hardwired from the x box to the router, why do you want to go

wireless? or is it a "I must have the ""new"" N wireless dongle" syndrome

Wireless can be a little less reliable and can cause lag.

37ms lag?
according to Pingtest, anything up to 100ms is considered good

I get an A rating on every test

I think the Wireless causes lag thing is a bit of a myth. My laptop gets lings of 30-40ms so the Xbox will be the same. COD MW2 states anything 50 and under is a good connection.

I have one 360 wired and one wireless. no problems with lag on either other than o2's poor weekend speeds

sounds to me like the router is on its way out get a better router and keep it wired i have had it both ways and i got too much lag in the game and party chat when i was wireless and as for it being a myth please explain how you empty a clip on cod mw2 into a friend who runs cable and it doesnt kill him then he turns round and 2 bulletts from the m16 burst kills me and according to the playback not one of mine hit him while my screen says otherwise both on a 10mb connection both with virgin

If you can tell me what your wireless ping is then I might agree with you but no numbers = no believe

Running my laptop wired v's wireless makes almost no change to my ping. it bounces a bit but on the most part it's under 40mS when it's wired or wireless.

I might be wrong but there is no way of getting a ping from the 360 but I'm that there won't be much change between my laptop and the 360.

on your V's friend problem. That could easily be his lag issue causing you problems.
