Seriously why cheap if your sitting in front of it a while. No the Fujitsu one is not great we have them at work and would not recommend them some really bad design features unless its been revamped.

Personally having spent 19 years in the trade you normally do get what you pay for.

Brands worth looking at that are cheap are GNR, HansG, Hannspree,

Have a look at

Thanks for your replies. It doesn't have to be cheap, just have speakers and there appears to be precious few around like that.

I've seen these at my local John Lewis and they look quite good.

Not actually used one so can't comment there.

We have a variety of HP monitors at work and I have a Brightview jobby at home. They seem to give a good picture and in particular the blacks are "black" which is good for looking at pics and x-rays..

All IMHO

The one I suggested should be exactly what you want.

I bought one of these from Argos in the end (cheaper) and took it straight back. The picture quality was actually very good, but the speakers sounded exactly like someone was sitting in front of you listening to a Walkman.

The thing is - all the speakers built into the screen are going to be an afterthought. I'd recommend a small pair of satellite speakers - you'd get a much better sound from them.
