Shenmue. Either you loved it for it’s engrossing story and memorable characters, or you hated it for it’s often tedious and boring gameplay. It goes without saying that the Shenmue series has garnered one of the most loyal underground followings of any game franchise since Bad Dudes (I’m a bad enough dude to rescue the President. Are you?). Regardless, ever since it was announced all those moons ago that Shenmue III would NOT be coming to the Xbox, fans of the series have been clammering for the chance to get their paws on the next chapter of this epic story.

That wait may very well be coming to an end. Soon. A leaked lineup list from SEGA’s TGS roster of titles lists Shenmue III for the Xbox 360. Other titles on that list include Space Channel 5 part 3, and Jet Set Radio Next (or Jet Grind Radio stateside). Chu Chu Rocket is also listed as a title coming to the Xbox Live Arcade, which is sure to make a ton of people very, very happy.

Many Bothans died to get me this list (aka I’m not telling my source), but they’ve proven fruitful in the past. So while this is labeled a rumor for now, I have much confidence in it’s authenticity.

NOTE: In regards to the Sonic RPG not listed as DS, keep in mind that these are games slated to be shown at the Tokyo Game Show. This is no way is a final release list.

Ah Shenmue, I have fond memories of firing this game up for the first time on a Christmas day, and, with Dreamcast knowing the time and date, it had dynamically adjusted the weather conditions and stuff, to the extent the locals in the village had lanterns and christmas decorations hanging out in the streets!

Shenmue II was great - felt like Virtua Fighter, but in a living breather universe.

Looking forward to Shenmue III

It's amusing quite a few of mates have seen this thread or i've sent them the link and Shenmue always is the most commented upon (possibly still one of the best games to have been made) now all Sega have to do is remake Burning Rangers.

THis was started as a rumour on a Koreon forum, Kotatu etc then reported it. I wouldn't hold out much hope for Shenmue 3, or half of those games listed tbh.
