just got the cable for the ps3, can not see much difference. what am i doing wrong? put the out connector in the back of the ps3 then into the back of the tv. no change.

 

Have you 'selected' HD output on the TV?

 

put it on the hdm1 channel but it is just blank

 

I think you need to set the PS3 to output via hdmi also.

 

Yep have to set the PS3 to output via hdmi, have to have both sets of leads in to do this hdmi and the standard rgb leads or you can't see anything whilst you change it over.
Once you have selected hdmi switch to the hdmi input on your tv within 30 seconds and accept the changes or your ps3 reverts back to rgb
