Default Xbox360 HD

As the a box can play games in HD, does it upscale DVD's to HD?

Rob
The 360 comes with a nice remote control to control pretty much everything.

I bet the LG standalone player would be quieter than the 360 though
Probably cheaper than the 360 HD-Drive add-on as well

Upscaled DVD's aren't the same as HD-DVD though. I'm also thinking of plumping for an upscaling player to go with my LCD for now. It's only a 26" screen though so I'm not sure I'll notice much improvement on the 360's (576p?) progressive scan DVD playback via component. What do people think? (sorry for hijacking slightly!)

Yeah it is a bit noisy, Ok during when playing a game but irritating when watching a film
