I take it you've gone to the horses mouth, as it were?

Get it off mininova as a bittorrent with the pro bits enabled.

The new texturing and lighting features are superb, as is the new snow station graphics test.

How did it run on your FX60 rig?

BTW -> www.guru3d.com seems ok download speed wise.

I've run it on one system, X2 4400 / 7800GTX 256 (490/1300) = circa 4600.

Have yet to run it on my other system, which is handy cap'd by it's CPU (FX53) - but has the 7800GTX 512 (580/1730) in it - will report back with score.

I'll try and download it tonight and run it on my rig as well. Will be interesting to compare the results...

Iain - you've gotta be looking at about 8K with your 4800 + SLI'd 7800 512s

Hmmm... wish AMD would hurry up with the proposed 4800 price drop

Anyone know why my download is asking for a password? I got it from one of the official mirrors!

Actually it came out at 7890. Think I may need to do a bit of tweaking to see if I can improve it a bit

Are you downloading the basic or the advanced version Pete? I think the advanced version requires a password. Also, some of the free download mirrors require you to register for a free account before allowing you to download...

Right, run '06 on the other system, so here are the averages:

X2 4400/7800 256 = 4560
FX53 / 7800 512 = 4650

FX53 is letting me down...
Hmm... the X2 4800 has gotta be worth another 600 points

Some of our offshore guys are living in Malaysia just now, the hardware out there is so cheap you wouldn't believe it, Oh and they have FX60's

I will scan in one of the english price lists tonight after work.

Please don't - I've just paid UK prices for a 4800...

Still, will report back on 3Dmark06 score tomorrow night (hopefully).

This download is Password protected - The unpack password is "66guru3d.com68!" without the quotes.

Tricky to find as it's on the page you go to when you want to download...

I ran it last night, and I'm a bit disappointed with my score; 3769.

I'm running a 7800GT slightly overclocked, a 3700 San Diego at 2915MHz and one gig of ram at 265MHz (DDR; so times 2).

Looking on-line there are a lot of people who are scoring higher, but they have 2 gig of ram - do you think this makes that much difference?

FX53 is effectively the old 130nm process core, so although similar to the AMD64 4000+, it is not 'as new' a core (the 4000 is 90nm and has SSE3 support). Doesn't bode well for resale, although probably finds someone that'll give me a ton for it.

Both my systems have 2Gb ram - seems to help.

Interesting... Are these prices including shipping to UK or just what your friends can get them at ?

In desperate need of some nice kit.
