Networking Query
I am updating my home network and have decided to go wireless so that I can include the Xbox.
Going to go for a 4 Port Wireless G Router with Two comps cabled into the Routers ports and a compatable wireless bridge for the Xbox.
Should I go for the new "Super G" stuff thats just hitting the market and if so, do all components (ethernet cards etc) have to be of the same make for it to work.
Which manufacturer (Linsys, Netgear, DCom) will do the job best.
Any good advice will be apreciated.
Thanks

I wouldnt bother with the super G stuff unless it is the same price.
It is not a ratified standard and relys pretty much on the equivalent of overclocking in much the same way as 22mbps did. You may also get problems unless you buy the same manufacturer or chipset.
I would get the std 54mbps 'G' stuff, checkout ebuyer.com they have some cheap gear on there site. For value for money i would buy linksys or netgear. The 3com products are not worth the extra and I have had many compatibilty problems with the dlink products.
The ebuyer extra value wireless range is worth looking at as it is always a badged product. so providing you know who makes it you should get a bargain.
With reference to the xbox, the best wireless bridge I have used is the buffalo one, not the cheapest though unfortunatelty.
