Question

Hi Everybody!

I finally got sick of 20ish spams a day so I've set my filter to delete anything not from somebody I know.

Ahhhhhhh peace at last...........

However, One or two spam e-mails are still getting through even thought the "from" details are definately not on my list of approved sources.

How can this be?

I have the version of outlook that comes with ME

If this is an exploit of a weakness in the filters it would be nice to get a fix for it so I can bask in a total lack of spam once more...

Cheers.

Wink

In reply to the above two posts

Since I am not running a business (this is my private home account), I will know when somebody new is going to e-mail me because I will have given them my e-mail address.

I can then fish the e-mail they send out of the deleted folder before I empty it and add them to the list of approved sources.

Sorted

Try Spamweed.

This is my first day of trying it, and it seems pretty good at first glance. Time will tell.

BTTT for this one because nobody really answered the origil question.

This morning I had a spam message in my inbox that really should not have been there. With my filters set to exclude all messages from "unapproved" sources it should have gone to the deleted folder but managed to make it to the inbox filter.

I guess very few people are using this particular method of spam filtering but I am happy with it but for this one problem.

Any further comments would be appreciated.

Cheers!

I think what people were originally trying to tell you is, there is a better way...
