Hi,

This is more for developers etc.

Ive doing a big Implementation project as one my modules. Where we spend from 7th Feb - June 27th. Doing a big project.

Theres alot emphasis on the documentation.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is in.
  • Details Project Plan - Ms project im assuming
  • Detailed Requirements / Specifications
  • Revised ER( know this one)
  • Entity Descriptions
  • top Level DFD

lectures bit of a w@nker so asking him is out of the window.

Also is project freely available anywhere.

My projects making my own champ man style game. So i need to learn drag and drop, aswell as somehow interfacing with skysports web site football table. Also need to somehow make an install program which ihavnt got a clue about, so it makes sure the path to the database is kinda hard coded in

Si

There are other tools available but MSP is definitely the most popular.

- Detailed Requirements / Specifications

Detailed requirements would be exactly what the system must do e.g. username and password must be used for access. 7 levels of security to be implemented - super admin, admin, ....

Detailed Specifications would be how it's to be implemented. Could be at a business and technical level or just technical depending on the detail in the requirements spec and if the requirements spec is doable.

Revised ER( know this one)
Entity Descriptions

Descriptions of the entity's in your ER diagrams.

top Level DFD

If memory serves, Data Flow Diagrams - need to reflect how the data moves between your entities eg. u/n & p/w from user to web server, from web server validated against db, web server then bounces response/access to user.

As to where you can get MSP - I think you can d/l a trial version (30 or 60 days) from the MS site.

A site you may want to visit is the Project Management Institute

Good luck!
